Anton Walke’s Cause of Death?
The soccer star was in Miami on January 18, 2023, where Charlotte FC trained for almost two weeks. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says Anton was found unconscious around 3 p.m. after two boats ran into each other near Miami Marine Stadium. Anton was given CPR and taken to the hospital, where he died the following day from his injuries.
Charlotte FC said Thursday morning that Anton had died. The club said in a statement, “We are deeply saddened to share that Anton Walkes has tragically passed away this morning,” David Tepper, the owner of Charlotte FC, said everyone on the team is “devastated by the tragic passing of Anton Walkes.”
David said in the club’s statement, “He was a tremendous son, father, partner, and teammate whose joyous approach to life touched everyone he met,” “Anton made those around him better people in all areas of life and represented Charlotte FC to the highest standard both on and off the pitch.”
Anton Walkes was born in London and started his career with Tottenham Hotspur. He later played for MLS teams Atlanta United and Charlotte FC, which picked him up in the 2021 expansion draught.
