An argument between neighbors landed one man in jail in Central Florida.
Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputies were recently dispatched to the K-Ville area on County Road 542, due to a reported armed disturbance.
According to local law enforcement, it was reported that two men got into an argument, and one of the men allegedly pulled a handgun out and began threatening the other man. Deputies arrived on scene and learned that the armed man was 54-year-old Daniel Chester McCall, of Lakeland.
According to law enforcement, McCall admitted to arming himself with a gun, but he told the deputies that he had already disposed of it in a nearby dumpster, and someone he did not know took it out. He also claimed that it was only a water gun, since he is a convicted felon and he is not allowed to possess a firearm, according to PCSO.
A check of McCall’s background showed that he has been convicted for four felonies. During a search of McCall’s residence, a detective found a 9mm handgun and ammunition was also found.
Deputies additionally found a glass pipe, methamphetamine, pills (acetaminophen and oxycodone hydrochloride), cocaine, fentanyl, and marijuana.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Daniel McCall was arrested and charged with: Armed Trafficking in Methamphetamine over 200 grams, Displaying a Firearm During a Felony Offense, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possess a Structure to Sell Drugs, Possess Cocaine with Intent to Sell, Possession of Oxycodone, Possession of Fentanyl, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon without Intent to Kill, False Information to LEO in a Felony Offense, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
