Profession of Ben Best
Ben maintained a low profile during his career. He didn’t seem to be very public with his work, as he avoided social media and gave few interviews. Because of this, there isn’t much known about his life away from show business.
We also had a hard time tracking down even the most fundamental details about him, such as his place of birth and upbringing. However, we do know that he met his long-time colleagues, Danny McBride and Jody Hill, while they were all students at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
Three of them came up with the idea for Eastbound and down. The first episode aired in 2009, and the show lasted till 2013. Ben had previously written screenplays for the films The Foot Fist Way and Your Highness. Ben did some acting in addition to his many behind-the-scenes roles.
Apart from his role as Clegg in Eastbound & Down, he also appeared in Superbad (2007). People will remember Ben most fondly for his wonderful sense of humour, which was one of his many endearing traits.
While most performers thrive on the attention they receive when in the public eye, Ben seems to have preferred working behind the scenes. Regardless of the task at hand, though, he consistently gave his all to whatever he was working on.
