Ben Kweller Son Car Accident, Dies In Crash At 16

Dorian Zev Kweller, the 16-year-old son of singer-songwriter Ben Kweller, passed away on Monday. Dorian Kweller was killed in an automobile accident, according to a social media post by Kweller’s wife, Liz. Dorian, a want-to-be musician who recorded under the alias “Zev,” put out a few singles.

It’s impossible for me to be writing this, but here it is…. Ben Kweller announced the death of his son Dorian Zev Kweller on Tuesday on Instagram. He was a true legend, yet he was only 16 years old.

The most amiable person in the world. To those who knew him, this is obvious. For as long as we’re still breathing, we’ll never be able to forget him. Please remember him and his music forever: @reallyzev.”

Ben elaborates, saying that every day Dorian Zev composed and recorded new music. I’ve known him to be a poet since he first opened his mouth. While only a handful of his recordings saw widespread distribution, he was well on his way and eager to get to where he was going.
