A darker and more realistic show was the first time the Lifetime Network aired a program like Buried in Barstow. Angie Harmon stars in Howard Deutch’s film, which has a distinct flavor. Buried In Barstow Part 2 Storyline
Where Hazel was buried before, she has been returned to her final resting place in California. There is a sense that she is content with her existence. A BBQ restaurant is her business, and she is raising her only child, Joy (Lauren Richards). As a young heroin addict, she was rescued from the streets of Las Vegas and trained to become a cold-blooded hit woman.
When Hazel found out she was pregnant, she decided to give up her aggressive lifestyle. After nearly two decades, her past is haunting her. On Rizzoli & Isles, Bruce McGill, who portrays her former boss, invites her home for one more job. Upon her return home to Barstow, she does everything she can to keep her sister Joy safe from her abusive boyfriend, while also falling for a mysterious newcomer named Elliot (Kristoffer Polaha).
The movie ends on a major cliffhanger. Elliott was employed by Hazel’s former boss, whom he met while doing time in prison. In the meantime, she intervenes in a kidnapping and is shot dead outside her diner. An ex-boyfriend showed up to be alive and well: Travis (Timothy Granaderos). Joy appears eagerly anticipating his return to Barstow.
Hazel tells Elliott that she has unfinished business in Vegas before she travels there. Hazel, on the other hand, intends to kill Von in order to get out of his clutches once and for all. During their battle, Hazel learns that Von is actually her biological father. He prepared her for this life, and she fled to Barstow with Joy in order to avoid being forced to work in the family business any longer. She kills him with a single shot and heads back to Barstow.
A real “To Be Continued…” cliffhanger concludes Buried In Barstow. “Hazel’s Story Will Continue in a Second Film” has been confirmed as a sequel. When Travis, bleeding and beaten, arrives at the diner in the concluding scenes of the film, Joy is there to greet him and the two leave together. In the diner, Hazel realized that her coworker Javier was absent, so she went out back and saw him being thrashed. She tried to fend off the men who were assaulting him, but they shot her twice and left her to bleed out before she could overpower them.
While driving away from the scene, they abduct Javier and a teen-aged girl (who I presume is Javier’s daughter). I’m thinking this kidnapping has something to do with the past disappearances of several young ladies, which a local police officer mentioned in passing earlier in the video. After Elliott appears to reassure Hazel that everything will be fine, the film draws to a close, leaving several loose ends just begging for a follow-up.

However, despite Angie Harmon’s claim that the production of Part 2 will begin in June of this year, there is presently no information about when the sequel will be released.
