A Central Florida man is facing numerous felonies after crawling through a bedroom window twice in one day, according to local law enforcement.
The Lake Wales man was arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office after he crawled through the same bedroom window twice in one day.
28-year-old Eddie Roberson, Jr. unlawfully entered the residence the first time at around one o’clock in the morning.
According to PCSO, a male inside the home heard a noise and found Eddie in the bedroom. The man recognized Roberson, and told him to leave. Which he did.
Later that same day, Eddie Roberson returned, and again climbed through the same window.
This time, he saw a handgun on a table near the window and picked it up.
A woman in the room woke up, and Roberson allegedly pointed the gun at her, and threatened to kill her, and refused to let her leave.
According to the victim, Eddie Roberson wanted her to drop pending charges against him from a prior incident, for which he was charged with battery and a stolen firearm.
A nearby resident heard screams from the home and called the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies soon arrived and arrested Roberson. They recovered the firearm from under a dresser in the room.
Upon his arrest, Eddie Roberson was found to be in possession of methamphetamine in a pants pocket, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. He claimed that the pants were not his. When deputies failed to accept that excuse, he claimed that the victim put the meth in his pocket.
According to local law enforcement, Eddie Roberson was taken to the Sheriff’s Processing Center and charged with: Armed Burglary, Unarmed Burglary of Structure, Attempted Burglary of Dwelling, Grand Theft of Firearm, Aggravated Assault without Intent to Kill, Tampering with Evidence, Tampering with a Witness, False Imprisonment, Possession of a Firearm Violating an RPO, Aggravated Stalking, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, and Battery.
