The City of Clermont will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks with its annual September 11 Memorial Ceremony on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026.
Hosted by the Clermont Fire Department and Clermont Police Department, the ceremony will begin at 10 am at the Clermont Arts and Recreation Center. Community members are invited to attend and join in honoring the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives in the attacks, as well as the first responders whose courage and sacrifice became a symbol of resilience and service.
This year’s event marks the 25th annual observance and serves as an opportunity for residents to reflect on one of the most significant moments in American history. Organizers say the ceremony will focus on remembrance, gratitude, and unity while paying tribute to the firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency personnel, and civilians who responded during and after the attacks.
As the nation reaches a quarter-century since Sept. 11, local officials encourage the community to come together to honor the lives lost and recognize the enduring legacy of service and heroism that emerged from the tragedy.
The ceremony will be held at the Clermont Arts and Recreation Center, located at 3700 S. Highway 27. Attendance is free, and all members of the public are welcome to participate in the solemn tribute.
