Glenn Barclay, CEO and co-founder of The Blake at Kingsport was hit and killed by a train in Florida this week.
Barclay died in Pensacola, Florida, on Monday. He was 57 years old.
Police said Barclay was walking along the train tracks and didn’t do anything when the train’s horn went off.
His death was made public by the company’s post on social media.
The Blake at Kingsport wrote on Facebook, “It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely death of our beloved CEO, Glenn Barclay. On December 26, he was in a terrible accident that took his life.” “Glenn was a kind leader, a loving husband, father, a devoted Christian, and a good friend.”

After starting construction in April 2017, The Blake at Kingsport opened in 2019. Barclay helped build other Blake communities in Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, and Louisiana.
“He thought there was a better way to take care of elderly people, so he worked hard to give each resident world-class care, great service, and kindness. Our staff, residents, and families are very sad about his death,” the post said.
Barclay’s wife, Jackie Ard-Barclay, and their son, Blake Barclay, are the only people who will remember him.
