Invincible Season 2 is a highly anticipated series. Even though Invincible is an animated series, it is aimed at adults. Season 2’s popularity was such that a movement to renew the show was launched even while the show was airing, which is very interesting and unique. Invincible is inspired by the Image comics series and it belongs to the genre of superhero elements, action, science-fiction, and drama. Even though Invincible Season 2 is an adult animated series, even kids can enjoy it.
What’s The Plot For Invincible Season 2?
There are many plot lines set up in Season 1 that future episodes will certainly follow, the biggest of which is that Omni-Man abandoned his post on Earth, making Mark the only Viltrumite around. Omni-Man likely won’t stay gone for long, and when he comes back, there’s a strong chance he’ll bring a swarm of other hyper-violent Viltrumites with him. Mark didn’t even have a fighting chance against only one, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens when he comes face-to-face with the full strength of his heritage.
However, while Mark sits on the moon with Allen the Alien (Rogen), we get a flashback of all that has happened on Earth that he will have to face in the future. This series of events reveals the Flaxans from Episode 2 organizing another invasion strategy while Doc Seismic (Diamantopoulos) from Episode 3 has gathered a tiny army of lava-based creatures, and he’s likely aiming to exact revenge on Mark and Atom Eve.
Most interesting is the short scene we see where D.A. Sinclair has built an army of cyborgs under the watchful eye of Cecil. Cecil seemed to dislike the idea he had to use the cyborgs against Omni-Man earlier, but in this picture, we see him laughing. In the second season, it’s not clear whether the GDA director will play a more antagonistic role.

Invincible Season 2 Cast: Who Is Returning?
Nothing has been confirmed (apart from Yeun’s comeback), but we expect the following actors to reprise their roles from season 1:
Steven Yeun –
Yeun Sang-yep, known professionally as Steven Yeun, is a South Korean-born American actor and producer. You originally rose to attention for his roles as Glenn Rhee in the television series The Walking Dead and Ben in the film Burning. The latter gained him critical acclaim and multiple prizes.
J.K. Simmons –
Jonathan Kimble Simmons is an actor from the United States. One of the most well-known and prolific character actors of his time, he has played more than 200 roles in movies and TV shows since he first played the lead role in 1986.

We may see other actors return, too. Zachary Quinto was the voice of Robot in season 1, but it’s unsure if he’ll be needed again. As the first season showed, Robot was the artificial body of Rudy Conners, a person whose genetic flaws meant he couldn’t live outside of his saline tank. With Rudy’s consciousness being transferred into his new clone body in episode 7, Ross Marquand has taken over vocal responsibilities for Rudy.
We have no idea when or if Quinto will be back. The robot has a big role in the comics, but we don’t know if those events will happen in Invincible season 2, season 3, or any other season.
Chris Diamantopoulos (Doc Seismic), Fred Tatasciore (Kill Cannon), Clancy Brown (Damien Darkblood), Jeffrey Donovan (Machine Head), Ezra Miller (D.A. Sinclair), and Michael Dorn may also be back. Kirkman has hinted at some of their returns (more on this below) but we’re unsure who will do so yet.
As for additional cast members, Kirkman has indicated an interest in seeing more of The Walking Dead TV series’ cast appear in future seasons. Yeun, Marquand, Laurie Cohan, Michael Cudlitz, Sonequa Martin-Green, and Lennie James have appeared in various parts previously, but Kirkman wants more Walking Dead stars to give their vocal skills to the program.
Kirkman stated to ComicBook.com: “I can’t think of a single actor from The Walking Dead with whom I wouldn’t want to work again. It’s a fantastic group of actors. Andrew Lincoln, Danai Gurira, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Jeffrey Dean Morgan…not there’s anyone I wouldn’t bring in.”
What Is The Invincible Season 2 Release Date?
Invincible Season 2 should release around the end of 2022, however, there is an odd chance it might not happen until 2023. Even if the time between Seasons 2 and 3 will be much shorter, we can’t be sure.
Another banger from Invincible showrunner @Sraxs!!!

Amazon has announced both of the new seasons, but it hasn’t said when fans can expect to see Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun) again. You told Collider earlier this month that the cast hasn’t recorded anything yet, but they’re “starting at some point soon,” which means the show won’t be back for a while.
Invincible Season 2 Trailer
For the time being, there is no trailer or promotional video for Invincible Season 2. We expect to receive one by the end of 2022, at the earliest. If not in this year, then at the earliest in the first part of 2023. Till then you may view the official trailer of Invincible Season 1.
How To Watch Invincible Season 2
Invincible Season 2 will be available only on Amazon Prime Video in the United States. You can watch all of the seasons of Invincible for free if you have an Amazon Prime subscription.
