First aired in early October 2021, Pretty Smart is Netflix’s latest broadcast-network-style sitcom. A laugh track enhances the simplicity of the humor, which is shot in a typical living room.
An ambitious author with a Harvard education, Chelsea (Emily Osment) relocates to Los Angeles with her sister Claire (Olivia Macklin) after her boyfriend breaks up with her. Both Chelsea and Claire are polar opposites. Claire is a charming waitress with a carefree attitude. She is also illiterate. Chelsea has a low opinion of Claire since she believes she is a lower-class individual. Because of this, their friendship has been ruined. It’s only natural for them to become closer as they share a home.
Jayden (Michael Hsu Rosen) is a social media star, while Solana (Cinthya Carmona) is a former lawyer-turned-New Age healer, and Grant (Gregg Sulkin), Claire’s stunning ex-boyfriend and Chelsea’s coworker at Build, is also a big part of Chelsea’s life.
Season 1 of Pretty Smart showcases two former Disney Channel stars in a fun comedy (Osment and Sulkin). Here’s all we know about Pretty Smart Season 2 — or are willing to speculate on — thus far.

Pretty Smart Season 2 Release Date
As of late January 2022, Netflix has not renewed Pretty Smart Season 2 for a third season. With no release date in sight, there is no way to tell when Season 2 of the newbie sitcom series will begin production.
Additionally, Netflix has confirmed that the next set of episodes they may release will be part of a second season, rather than a second instalment.
Ten half-hour episodes were shot at Sunset Bronson Studios in Los Angeles for the first season of Pretty Smart. Seasons on Netflix are frequently split into two halves, with the second half releasing a few months after the first.
When it comes to Pretty Smart, Netflix appears to designate it as Season 1 rather than Part 1. If Netflix decides to continue Pretty Smart, we need to know the episode order and the launch date of the new season.
Pretty Smart Season 2 Cast
Due to the lack of an official renewal announcement, we have no idea which Pretty Smart cast members will be returning for Season 2. Because there were no major character departures or deaths in the Season 1 finale, fans can reasonably anticipate to see the same performers back for Season 2. A few of the cast members are Emily Osment, Gregg Sulkin, Olivia Macklin, Michael Hsu Rosen, and Cinthya Carmona. Jake from State Farm, Geoff Ross as Howard, Ming-Na Wen as Jasmine’s mother, and Kevin Miles – better known as Jake from State Farm – as Dave, Claire’s ex-boyfriend, may all make cameo cameos.
In addition, some of the people who work behind the scenes are likely to return. It is created and executive produced by Crazy Ex-Jack Girlfriend’s Dolgen and Doug Mand, who worked together on that show earlier as well. Three episodes of Pretty Smart and the pilot of How I Met Your Mother are both executive produced by Kourtney Kang. Pamela Fryman, who directed three episodes of Pretty Smart and the pilot, as well as most episodes of How I Met Your Mother, is an executive producer.
Pretty Smart Season 2 Plot
With Claire (Olivia Macklin) breaking up with Dave (Kevin Miles) and kissing Grant, the first season of Pretty Smart came to an end on a cliffhanger (Gregg Sulkin). To make sure Claire is okay, Chelsea (Emily Osment) bursts into the room just as they are kissing. She tells her sister she needs to talk to her about her interest in dating Grant. It’s hard to tell what will happen in this complicated love triangle. This will undoubtedly be the most talked-about subject when Season 2 premieres. “I don’t know what will happen in Season 2,” Osment revealed to Entertainment Tonight. I am interested to see what happens as a result.”
After this, predicting the plot of the show is something that we cannot do but surely what we can do is wait to see if the series gets renewed for a second season.
