Alongside Bob Horn and Lee Stewart, Blavat made his debut on television in 1953 on the very first episode of Bandstand, which aired on WFIL-TV. In 1956, he was in charge of Danny and the Juniors’ tour across the United States, and from 1958 until 1959, he worked as Don Rickles’ valet. In 1960, he got his start in the radio industry. By 1963, a version of their show that was syndicated was being broadcast in Camden, Atlantic City, Trenton, Pottstown, Wilmington, and Allentown.
