A woman was arrested in a recent Tampa stabbing.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office responded to an apartment complex located on the 7700 block of Rivergate Drive following a report of a stabbing. HCSO deputies arrested the suspect responsible for a stabbing that occurred in Tampa at approximately 4:30am.
According to local law enforcement, when deputies arrived, they found an adult woman suffering from at least one stab wound. She was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The investigation revealed during an altercation between the two groups, 24-year-old Anijah Green stabbed the 21-year-old victim. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant and Green was taken into custody.
According to law enforcement, Green was charged with: Aggravated Battery Great Bodily Harm and Deadly Weapon, and Attempted Murder In The Second Degree With Weapon.
“This violent act left a young woman seriously injured and put multiple lives at risk,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Thanks to the swift work of our deputies and detectives, the suspect was quickly identified and taken into custody. Violence like this has no place in our community, and we will continue working to hold those responsible fully accountable.”
