She is a Canadian actress, Dianne Doan, who was born on September 8th, 1990. As Lonnie in the Disney Channel Original Films Descendants and Descendants 2, she is well-known.
Doan grew up in Abbotsford, British Columbia, where he was born and reared. When she entered theatre lessons as an option in grade 9, she discovered her passion for performing. At the age of ten, she began training in dance technique.
As a teenager, she appeared in the Opening Ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and as a backup dancer for Michael Bublé.. Her other work includes the music videos for Big Time Rush and Marianas Trench as well as the Fox reality show So You Think You Can Dance.
While she’s been in tiny roles on series like ABC’s Once Upon a Time and TV Land’s Impastor, her big break came when she was cast as Lonnie, the daughter of Mulan and Li Shang, in the Disney Channel original film Descendants. In addition to the live-action miniseries that preceded the original picture, there was also a sequel and an animated spin-off.
In the fourth season of Vikings, she was cast as Yidu, a prominent recurring character. As a result, she was cast as a twin sister in AwesomenessTV’s online series Guidance and a prominent part on Verizon (go90). In 2017, she was cast as Mai Ling, a regular character on Cinemax’s Warrior. It was created by director Justin Lin based on an original idea by Bruce Lee.
The actor Manny Jacinto proposed to her earlier this year.
