FXX broadcast the fifteenth and final season of the American sitcom It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia from the 1st of December till the 22nd of December 2021. On Hulu and FXNOW, this season was available on the same day it aired on FX. In the United States, it is the longest-running live-action comedy series in history, surpassing The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, with an eighth season of eight episodes.
This is the longest-running American live-action comedy series ever after being renewed for a fifteenth season in May 2020. It replaces The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, which lasted for 14 seasons from 1952 to 1966. Rob McElhenney said on April 9, 2020, that the season 15 scripts had begun to be written.
In May 2021, the season’s filming began, and it concluded up in October of same year. Filming took place in August and September of 2021 in Dublin, Ireland.
As a result of the Disney-FOX merger in December 2017, this is the first season not to be distributed by 20th Television and instead by Disney-ABC Domestic Television.
It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia Season 15 Storyline
This season, it’s all up in the air as to what It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia 15 will be about. ‘The gang’ is always getting into mischief, and the show alternates between satirical commentary on current events (such as the #MeToo movement or the gendered bathroom debate) and fantastical episodes (such as an homage to 1980s ski flicks or a two-parter where the gang goes on a cruise and, apparently, dies) each season.
We’ve got a hunch about a Philly monument that could show up in season 15. For the past few weeks, Glenn Howerton and his co-creators have been listening to all the voices on Twitter who have been calling for an episode to feature a parking lot that will live in infamy for all eternity.
We’re referring, of course, to Four Seasons Total Landscaping, where Giuliani-led initiatives to overthrow democratic elections have been launched. Despite the fact that we have no idea how the gang intends to operate, “Season 4 of “Four Seasons” is slated to focus on “all this bulls**t,” according to a preview of the upcoming season. Not to mention the s**t jokes.” On January 10, McElhenney tweeted a cryptic and obscene not-really-a-spoiler, which he later deleted.
What kind of BS is he talking about? But we can’t wait to find out for ourselves. You can watch the previous 14 seasons of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia on Hulu while you wait for season 15.
