Morgan Wallen is eager to make her stage debut again. In an Instagram Stories post on Tuesday, the country artist revealed that his doctor had given him the all-clear to “talk and sing” again, weeks after he had stated he would be taking voice rest and postponing his tour.
Wallen, who is 29 years old, captioned a photo of himself on a boat in the water, “The doc cleared me to talk and sing… we back.” He hasn’t announced his next performance date yet, but June 22 in Chicago is the next one on the calendar.

He posted an upbeat photo of himself and his friend Eric Church on a boat earlier in the day. In the post’s caption, he wrote, “It’s Island Time.” Vocal fold trauma, which Wallen admitted to on May 9, “is caused by excessive and improper use of the voice,” as stated by the National Institute of Health.
I’ll just jump right into the meat of the matter. Yesterday, the Vanderbilt Voice Center doctors gave me some disheartening news. “After taking 10 days of vocal rest, I performed three shows last weekend in Florida and by the third one, I felt terrible,” the “Me to Me” singer revealed in the Instagram video.

The next day he said, “So I went in and got scoped yesterday, and they told me that I hurt my vocal cords and have vocal fold trauma. Following their recommendation, I will be taking a six-week vocal break. Even though they didn’t want me to talk, they said this was OK.
The “Whiskey Glasses” singer claimed he strained his vocal cords and tore his LAT muscle while performing. Wallen skipped his six-week-long run of festival appearances and his performance slot at the Academy of Country Music Awards because he needed to rest his voice.

Tickets for the original dates will be honoured for the rescheduled performances, and a 30-day refund window will be available once the new dates are confirmed, as stated in a press release from Wallen’s representative.
The physicians assured me that if I followed their instructions to a T, I would recover fully. They warned that I could permanently harm my voice if I ignored their warnings and kept singing. This is the decision I felt compelled to make for my professional future. “It’s terrible, and I hate you guys,” Wallen replied.
Then he said, “I’ll see you soon and be back better than ever.” Wallen had to cancel four performances before the vocal rest. On April 23, minutes before his act began in Oxford, Mississippi, he was forced to cancel because he had lost his voice. The following evening, he postponed the three gigs scheduled for that week in Michigan, Illinois, and Nebraska. On May 4, after taking some time off to recuperate his voice, Elvis made his Florida concert return.
