After a terrible accident in 2020, YouTuber Jeff Wittek is suing David Dobrik for damages. According to the complaint filed against Dobrik, 25, for “general negligence and intentional tort,” Wittek is seeking $10 million in damages for lost wages and medical expenses he incurred as a result of the accident.
In the months preceding the lawsuit, Wittek, 32, openly criticized his ex-friend and fellow “Vlog Squad” member.
Jeffrey Wittek Broke All Relations With David Dobrik
Wittek publicly expressed his distaste for “Views” presenter David Dobrik and unfollowed him on social media after he needed more surgery in February to fix the damage. During a livestream in February, Wittek said, “I’m done being fake friends with that motherf—er.”
He also said that Wittek’s creditworthiness had been harmed since Dobrik had not paid all of the debts he had agreed to pay. Due to conflicts with Dobrik, he eventually removed his comedy performance from a future video presented by fellow Vlog Squad member Jason Nash.
Wittek elaborated in another video on why he was so angry by Dobrik in an unaired documentary. According to Wittek, Dobrik seemed to blame him for the mishap in the video.

On A March Podcast, David Dobrik Apologized For Jeff Wittek’s Eye Damage
“The Jeff thing is the f—ing worst,” he said in an episode of “Views.”
“That day is the worst thing that’s ever happened to me, and I would do anything to take that day back. I’m shaking.”
“It’s the most unfortunate thing ever, and it’s an accident. That’s what it was. I want to make that clear. There’s never a world where I want to have that happen to a person. I was never up there, driving the thing, wanting to hurt someone.”
I’m no longer a part of the roast of Bryce hall. My entire set will be cut due to censorship, and David Dobrik being involved. I refuse to be a part of anything that scumbag is involved in from here on out.

Dobrik displayed a message from Wittek urging them to do the action, but he was apprehensive to be “taking 150% of the responsibility” as it was a joint decision.
Jeff Wittek And David Dobrik—What The Heck Happened To Them?
In June of 2020, when Wittek was dangling on a rope tied to an excavator being handled by Dobrik in a Utah lake, he almost died from injuries to his face and skull.
In the midst of the epidemic, Wittek, Dobrik, and a group of their pals were recording a video for Dobrik’s YouTube account.

David Denied Not Paying Jeff’s Medical Costs
Dobrik and Natalie Mariduena, his assistant, said that they had paid all of the bills that Wittek’s staff had provided them, but they implied that Wittek had not informed them of the payments. Dobrik said that he is not the greatest communicator and that he should have sought out more often.
Adding, “I’m so f—king sorry it happened, but there’s no going back from that,” he said.
In April 2021, the viral star was accused of forcing a lady to have sex with Dom Zeglaitis, also known as Durte Dom, a member of his Vlog Squad. Dobrik allegedly recorded the lady entering a bedroom using the alias “Durte Dom” and gave the woman wine, prompting the woman to claim that “Durte Dom” raped her.
In the midst of these claims, new details emerged suggesting that Dobrik was also to blame for Wittek’s major injury during the recording of one of his vlogs in the summer of 2020.
