Tributes From Social Media
We are sending our prayers and thoughts to Dean LeMire’s family and friends.
I consider Dean LeMire to be a mentor. By mentor, I mean that I followed him around, never stopped talking to him, relentlessly volunteered at SOS, and eventually won a scholarship from him for the classes I needed to become a CRSW. I had only been in recovery for a little over a year when I decided I wanted to be like him. I had the drive that is typical of someone in early recovery, where you want to save the world. I also had motivation, a love of writing, superhuman empathy, exhilaration that bubbled out, and motivation.
