Many people immediately think of reality TV stars when they think about cosmetic surgery. The ramifications need more study, but in short, the pressure to succeed in front of the camera is immense. People care about their appearance regardless of the presence or absence of television.
No matter the circumstances, cosmetic surgery carries a heavy social stigma. Whether or not that’s fair, it gives people on reality TV something to use against one another. In recent times, it’s been the Real Housewives of Atlanta fighting with one another.
When it came time for the reunion, Bravo made sure there was plenty of tension and conflict. Some of the tension between Shereé Whitfield and Kandi Burruss, for example, was edited out of the original reunion tape.
Kandi Burruss Reveals That She Had Br*ast Reduction Surgery
“Let’s not let all the other diets and stuff that I’ve done confuse you into thinking that that’s what made my b00bs get reduced, because it is not, honey!” she said. “I did have some weight loss. I have tried some juice fasts recently. Or, excuse me, ‘juice cleanse’ recently.

I did manage to shed a few pounds thanks to it! Burruss acknowledged, however, that the size of her br*asts had not changed despite her weight reduction. Instead, she went in search of surgical assistance.
“I have been trying to change the way I eat. I’ve been trying intermittent fasting. I’ve been trying everything to lose weight, but that has nothing to do with why my b00bs is smaller, okay?” she continued. “I went to a doctor and he did a little, he cut a chunk off of each one of them, okay? I’m just gonna keep it 100 with you.”
Burruss claimed to have had liposuction and a belly tuck in addition to a br*ast reduction. She said that she had “tried” Botox before deciding against further injections into her face. film from the day of Burruss’s br*ast reduction surgery with local surgeon Dr. Chad Deal may be seen later in the film.
The reality personality stated, “He reduced these bad boys,” referring to her br*asts, adding that they were “perky and they’re smaller for sure.” Burruss ended the video with a promise to provide post-operative appointment footage in the next instalment of the Body Work series.
It’s not only Burruss who has spoken openly about having br*ast reduction surgery in the previous year. Earlier this month, Rachel Bloom published before and after photographs from her br*ast reduction, following in the footsteps of Amelia Gray Hamlin, who spoke publicly about her decision to get the treatment when she was 16 years old back in November.

According to a preview of the RHOA Extended Reunion seen by E! News, the ladies got sidetracked discussing the plastic surgery they’d just had. Kandi said, “I have not had my body done four times,” and Shereé asked if it was three instead. Kandi clarified, “First of all, let’s be clear: I have never denied getting plastic surgery. You done had tummy tucks, you done had br*ast jobs, you got nose jobs multiple times. Before we even met you on this season, that was a nose job.”
Shereé admitted to one rhinoplasty, asserting it was her “first tweak.” Kandi and Drew Sidora laughed, with the latter saying, “Well, maybe you didn’t admit it. She didn’t admit it, but we see it.” On the other hand, Sanya Richards-Ross jumped in and asked, “You had a nose job, who cares?”
Part 2 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion airs on Bravo on Sunday, September 10 at 8 p.m. EST.
