Adam Zimmer, who had previously worked as the defensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings and as an offensive analyst for the Cincinnati Bengals, passed away in October due to alcoholism.
On the 31st of October, Zimmer’s body was discovered inside his home in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. He has reached the age of 38.
According to the report published in the Star Tribune, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the cause of death on Friday as “complications of chronic ethanol use disorder.”
From 2014 through 2021, Zimmer worked as a coach with the Minnesota Vikings, following in his father’s footsteps as the longtime head coach of the Vikings. In an Instagram post, his sister, Corri Zimmer, broke the news of her brother’s passing to the public.
“I still can’t believe I’m going to go ahead and write this. Yesterday, I said goodbye to my older brother. The most charitable, selfless, and devoted to his family of any sports fanatic that has lived. I’ve experienced pain comparable to this before, but it’s been a while, and I didn’t realize I was capable of experiencing it again until now. My heart is broken, and the pain is excruciatingly intense. I don’t know how to balance being a mother to one-year-old twin boys with the untimely loss of my brother, and I don’t know how to do it all at once, “she had written.

At the time of his passing, Adam Zimmer was serving as an offensive analyst for the Cincinnati Bengals while working from a remote location.
“Since our organization’s founding, we have had the distinct honor of getting to know and collaborate with the Zimmer family. We hold Mike and Adam in the greatest regard and are deeply heartbroken by the horrible news we just shared. “In a statement released after Zimmer’s passing, Bengals owner Mike Brown said the following. “We considered Mike and Adam to be more than simply coaches; we considered them friends. We are keeping the Zimmer family in our thoughts and prayers at this time.”
Beginning in 2006 and continuing until 2009, Zimmer worked for the New Orleans Saints as an assistant linebackers coach in the National Football League.
