After a long fight with cancer, she passed away on November 30th, 2010. Lee was born on January 22, 1922, in Wakulla County, Florida, the same area she would spend her childhood and grow into adulthood. Lee’s big day is January 22nd. Lee celebrates his birthday on January 22 because he was born on that date in 1920. She worked for the state of Florida for quite some time, and her office was in the Capitol building in Tallahassee.
She worked for them in an official capacity. As a mother, she was incredibly thoughtful and kind, and her absence will be keenly mourned by those who knew her. She was an amazing mother who always put her children first.
Three of her grandkids, Leslie Highsmith, Julie Kohr, and Brent Hatley, and all three of her great-grandchildren predeceased her. Her two sons, Douglas and Stephen, and daughter-in-law, Teresa, also survived her. After she died away, her three great-grandchildren got to know her as well.
She also has three living great-grandchildren. She went away, but her legacy lives on in the form of three great-grandchildren.
