Who was Randy Lemmon?

Randy Lemmon was born on January 4, 1962, in Whittier, California. His full name is Randal Scott Lemmon. Richard “Dick” Lemmon and Phyllis Lemmon raised him.

Randy went to Robert E. Lee High School in Houston after his family moved there. He then went to Texas A&M University, where he got a BS in Journalism in 1984.

During his time at Texas A&M, he lived in Moses Hall. Randy later got a Master of Science in Agriculture while working for the College of Agriculture at the University.

He loved his daughter Selena and his son Randal very much. He always cheered them on in everything they did, like Randal’s tennis matches and Selena’s rise to fame as a singer.

Randy Lemmon’s Career?

Randy worked as a TV and radio producer for the Texas Farm Bureau for a long time before he became a radio host. After that, he worked at Texas A&M University for almost ten years. There, he made news and analysis for an agricultural network that he started with the College of Agriculture.

Among other things, he was in charge of making the R.C. Slocum show. Randy wrote four books on a wide range of topics, such as how to use mulch and how much fertilizer to use.

Randy has been sharing his enthusiasm and knowledge with people all along the Gulf Coast through his company, Randy Lemmon Consulting. This is in addition to his radio show.

Randy was known for his sense of humor, his cooking skills, and his love of Aggie football and Astros baseball. He also loved all things green. Randy also loved going to concerts, playing disc golf, playing racquetball, and seeing plays on Broadway.

What Happened to Randy Lemmon?

Sadly, Randy Lemmon left us on January 5, 2023. The news of his passing was shared on GardenLine with Randy Lemmon’s Facebook page.

According to the note: “Randy Lemmon, Houston’s GardenLine anchor on NewsRadio 740 KTRH, passed away today. Complications from a stroke ultimately led to his death, which occurred at New York’s Mt. Sinai Hospital. “His family was all around him, supporting him and loving him.”

For 27 years, Randy Lemmon hosted the radio show GardenLine, where he discussed strategies for thriving in the unusual environment of the Pacific Northwest.

Both professional landscapers and weekend gardeners devotedly followed him as he freely gave his insights on lawns, gardens, and outdoor living.

When the safety of the public was at stake as a result of extreme weather conditions like storms or deep freezes, he was the person who was consulted.

Randy Lemmon Cause of Death?

Randy Lemmon, who hosted a radio show and served as the Gulf Coast’s Garden Guru, unexpectedly passed away. A stroke was the cause of death for Randy Lemmon. Selena, 16, and Randal, 21, the couple’s two children, survive Lemmon, who was married to Yvonne Lemmon for 22 years.

His sister Terri Langer (Ron), his in-laws Jennifer Spriggs (Kevin) and Melissa Salce (Joab), as well as his nieces Lindsey Langer, Lauren Langer, Jessica Spriggs, Jamie Spriggs, Paighton Salce, and nephews Preston Salce and Parker Salce, are also left to mourn his passing.

His aunt Janelle and uncle Ron Stokes, along with their two boys Conner and Reid, are also left behind.

There will be a memorial service for him. Randy has been offering advice on lawns, gardens, and outdoor living in this particular climate for more than 35 years. In Randy’s advice, knowledge and experience are perfectly matched.
