A near-fatal incident in 2009 may have ended Cristiano Ronaldo’s career and life. When the Portuguese star was a member of Manchester United, he was seriously injured in a car accident while his route to practice. His vehicle “was engaged in the crash on the A538 Wilmslow Road,” according to The Guardian. The catastrophic collision left Ronaldo’s Ferrari’s front edge destroyed.
Ronaldo, however, was “fortunate” to remain injury-free. “I arrived there shortly after the collision had occurred and saw the state of the car,” a witness remarked. Amazingly, he escaped the situation unscathed. United also stated that Ronaldo was operating the vehicle during the collision. He was a party to a mishap this morning. No additional vehicles were present.
He is in good health and training with the team this morning as usual. Edwin Van der Sar, the current United goalkeeper, also traveled down the same tunnel to the Carrington training facility. He drove Ronaldo to practice. Ronaldo showed up to exercise with his team despite this tragedy. The opulent automobile was a Ferrari 599 GTB. That was pricey—more than $300,000. The car was reportedly put up for sale after the collision, but no news of the transaction was recorded.

Cristiano Ronaldo Accident, This Was Not The Only Time
Another expensive vehicle owned by Ronaldo was involved in an accident in June 2022. But Ronaldo was not a part of the collision this time. His security was driving the car. According to a source familiar with the situation, although there was material damage and no one was hurt, the driver accepted full responsibility for what happened. Suppose any additional inquiries need to be made. In that case, a court or law enforcement personnel can obtain the information about who was driving and what happened that is recorded in a police database.
