My Happy Ending Episode 13 Ending Explained
The plot takes an exciting turn in the dramatic finale of My Happy Ending episode 13, as Jang Na-ra’s character, Seo Jae-Won, just about avoids being captured by Kwon Young-Ik (Kim Myung-Soo).
The beginning of the episode shows Yoon-Jae and Young-Ik holding Jae-Won captive and torturing him. In an attempt to poison Jae-Won, Young-Ik is motivated by his desire to preserve his daughter, Kwon Yoon-Jin (So Yi-Hyun), and restore his reputation.
When Yoon Te-Oh, played by Lee Ki-Taek, shows up in time to step in and make a difference, things take a dramatic turn. Young-Ik’s evil schemes are thwarted by Te-Oh’s prompt arrival, which sets Te-Oh and Yoon-Jae square up.
Te-Oh gets Jae-Won back, even if he gets some minor injuries. Jae-Won had been carrying a covert camera the entire time, filming incriminating footage of Young-Ik’s misdeeds, which the antagonists were unaware of.
As Te-Oh races Jae-Won to the hospital in the aftermath of episode 13, they are able to obtain the vital proof from the hidden camera. As Kwon Young-Ik is accused of being involved in the kidnapping and attempted murder, tensions rise at a Ministry of Culture assembly inspection.
Detective Oh Soo-Jin arrests Young-Ik after Jae-Won, armed with the incriminating camera footage, reveals his wrongdoings. Still, the program doesn’t end with much fanfare. Although at first relieved, Jae-Won is suspicious of Kwon Yoon-Jin’s role in the evil scheme.
It becomes clear that Yoon-Jae has been Yoon-Jin’s employee as the puzzle pieces fit together. The story suddenly takes a terrifying turn as Jae-Won, Te-Oh, and the audience find themselves seeing the police remove a dead body from the place where important witness Baek Seung-Gyu had been living.
As Kwon Yoon-Jin, drenched in blood, exits the building, the startling realization becomes more real. The episode ends with a thrilling cliffhanger that has viewers on the edge of their seats wondering what Yoon-Jin’s role in the disturbing occurrence involving Baek Seung-Gyu is and why.
