The Pokémon Trading Card Game has revealed the launch window for the upcoming main series expansion, which will be titled Sword & Shield – Lost Origin. On September 9, 2022, this set will become available to purchase. It will concentrate on Origin Forme Giratina and Hisuian Zoroark. It is possible that this will be the second-to-last set in the Sword and Shield block.

The Release date for Pokemon Lost Origin

According to information obtained from PokeBeach, the release date for Pokemon Lost Origin will be on September 9.

In a post that was published on Monday, June 20, the well-known Pokemon TCG website PokeBeach made the date public after “multiple sources” had previously validated the information. Due to the fact that the next major card competition, The Pokemon Trading Card Game World Championships, will take place in the middle to late of August, it is unfortunate that this expansion will not be permitted for use in the competitions that comprise it.

However, this will probably not have much of an effect on trainers who are already preparing to compete. It should come as no surprise that Giratina Origin Forme VSTAR, a potent new take on the “Renegade” Pokemon from Generation IV, is the highlight of Lost Origins. A Hisuian Zoroark VSTAR, an Enamorus V, and a Brilliant Gardevoir are also among the highlights of this event. Aerodactyl, Drapion, Magnezone, Kyurem, Hisuian Zoroark, and Hisuian Goodra are the other six Pokemon that qualify for the VSTAR program.

The Lost Zone gameplay mechanic will make its Sword & Shield Series debut in Sword & Shield—Lost Origin. It is anticipated that this gameplay mechanic will shake up the Pokémon Trading Card Game metagame. The Lost Zone functions similarly to the discard pile, with the exception that players cannot retrieve cards from it while the game is in progress. Lost Zone trading cards, such as Giratina VSTAR, will have a mysterious halo surrounding the artwork of the card.

More than 190 cards are included in the set between the regular set and the secret rares that are also included. The newest variety of VSTAR will be featured on six of these cards. The following Pokémon can be found on these VSTAR cards: Giratina, Aerodactyl, Magnezone, Drapion, Hisuian Goodra, and Hisuian Zoroark. In total, the set includes 14 V cards in addition to one VMAX card. Kyurem is the VMAX card, and in addition to this, we are aware of only one radiant card in the set, which is Gardevoir. This card is the VMAX card.

A trainer gallery consisting of 30 cards that each feature a Pokémon and their respective trainer will also be included in this set of Pokémon trading cards. The total number of cards in the set will also equal 15, all of which are trainer cards.

All of the cards in Lost Origin were taken from previous expansions of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, such as Dark Phantasma and the upcoming expansion, the name of which has not been confirmed but is widely believed to be Lost Abyss. This will get to Japan sometime in the month of July. The Lost Zone, a gameplay feature that was first introduced in 2009 but has since been taken out of rotation, brought back in 2018, and then taken out of the rotation once more until the release of Lost Origin.

The Lost Zone is a discard pile from which there is no way to retrieve the cards that have been discarded there. Putting this card back into play will undoubtedly shake up the metagame as it currently stands. This is all the information that is currently available regarding the upcoming Pokémon Trading Card Game set Lost Origin; however, over the course of the next few months, we should get a sneak peek at some new products.

Mew’s Origin Story:

Fans of Pokemon history probably think they already know how Mew was created. Morimoto snuck it in at the end, right? Actually that’s not entirely true, and it’s only a small part of the story. For the whole tale, watch this new video: https://t.co/2DUfSKjqOQ pic.twitter.com/ylvjvt79Su
