There is a lot of buzz surrounding Sony Interactive Entertainment, as an investigation has been swiftly initiated into the recent leak of PS5 Pro specs. Insider Tom Henderson, leading the charge, confirmed the authenticity of the leaked specifications, originating from a technical document shared by Sony with third-party developers. As intrigue mounts, let’s unravel the intricacies of this development and delve into the specifics.
Sony Investigates PS5 Pro Specs Leak
Insider Tom Henderson says that Sony Interactive Entertainment has already started to look into the PS5 Pro specs leak from yesterday. Henderson confirmed firsthand that the features that had been leaked were real and came from a technical paper that Sony had given to third-party developers.
Henderson says the leak took place while Sony was sending dev kits to outside coders. He thought that the company might do the rollout in stages, which would mean that big third-party partners and developers are given priority first, then medium-sized and small companies. Most likely, the leak started in the second step.
As expected, Sony has launched an internal investigation into the leaked documents on Trinity as it leaked during a third-party rollout.

Henderson also said that Sony might not be able to stop all leaks or name a specific person or company, but it can figure out who the most probable culprits are. He said, “They [Sony] rollout these things periodically and can probably rule it down to X dates and anyone during that period will no longer get updates.”
Sources say that Sony has been sending out PS5 Pro test kits since the end of last year. The company was aware that there would be some leaks. But yesterday’s leak made all the specs public, which is what led to the probe.
