According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a crash that occurred early on Sunday morning in Osceola County resulted in the death of one person and the injury of two others.
According to the state police, the collision occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. near Simpson Road and Eagle Bay Boulevard.
A woman from St. Cloud, age 22, was driving a sedan in the other direction on Simpson Road when she collided with a man from Kissimmee, age 44, who was driving a pickup truck in the same direction but in the opposite direction. According to the troopers, the truck driver could not negotiate a right curve and swerved into the northbound lane of Simpson Road. This placed the vehicle directly in the path of the car.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the truck collided with the front of the sedan, transporting a passenger who was 29 years old. According to the troopers, both the truck driver and the sedan driver were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Troopers have reported that the man from St. Cloud riding in the car passed away at the hospital.
The cause of this crash has not yet been determined.
