Here we are talking about a 36-year-old Woman Found Dead Off the Coast of Florida After Falling From a Cruise Ship. On Thursday morning, a 36-year-old woman’s body was found off the coast of Florida after she fell from a cruise ship. The woman went overboard from the cruise ship MSC Meraviglia, and the U.S. Coast Guard reports that her body was found about 18 miles from Port Canaveral’s shore.
NBC News said that MSC Cruises is the owner and operator of the ship. The woman’s identity and the circumstances of her shipboard fall were kept a secret by the Coast Guard. According to CBS News, the woman’s body was found by the Coast Guard at roughly 7:30 a.m.
MSC Cruises said they are collaborating with law enforcement to look into the event in a statement to News Channels. The company reported that the MSC Meraviglia’s sophisticated detecting systems detected a passenger overboard as the ship sailed toward Port Canaveral early this morning.

The US Coast Guard assisted with search efforts with boats and a helicopter while the crew carried out a quick search and rescue mission. The statement said, “Unfortunately, despite the quick rescue effort, the passenger suffered fatal injuries.”
“We are giving the authorities all of our assistance as they look into this. We express our profound sympathies to the family and all impacted by this catastrophe and are deeply saddened by it.” According to WFTV, the ship was sailing back from the Bahamas at the time of the incident.
The television station’s video showed scores of passengers scanning the ship’s edge for the woman. The video seems to have been shot very early in the morning or late at night.
“We ask for prudence while we tell the family of this loss and extend our sincere sympathies to the family during this tremendously trying time,” a spokesperson for the U.S. Coast Guard Public Affairs Detachment in Jacksonville, Florida, told CBS News in a statement.
James Michael Grimes, the father, fell off a Carnival cruise ship in the Gulf of Mexico in November. For nearly 18 hours, the 28-year-old was able to stay alive by treading water.
