After fights broke out over the weekend and resulted in four arrests, the South Florida Fair is considering enforcing harsher restrictions.
Along with the arrests on Saturday night, about 60 individuals have also led away from the fairgrounds, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Kids fighting in groups on the fairgrounds were captured on video and shared on social media.

According to Vickie Chouris, president and CEO of the South Florida Fair, the violence must end. Bad conduct won’t be tolerated, she declared.
All visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult on Fridays and Saturdays, per a rule that was put in place by the South Florida Fair last year.
Fair officials are currently reevaluating the rule.
We’re going to reevaluate that to determine if it’s robust enough now that this tragedy has occurred, Chouris added. If not, we’ll fix it and tighten security measures since we care about families coming out and having a lovely time.

The majority of attendees stated there was a clear emphasis on safety. One man commented, “I feel protected because my wife is here.”
The fair’s organizers announced that 60 additional Palm Beach County deputies would be present in addition to the standard security measures.
