A suburban man was detained and charged for allegedly brandishing a gun at another guy on Monday during a road rage incident.
Deputies from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a careless driver along Route 176 and Fairfield Road in unincorporated Wauconda around 8:15 a.m. The 53-year-old victim claimed that while they were both heading east, another car refused to let them merge.
Officers claim that when the victim was allowed to merge, Anthony J. Delorto, 37, of Batavia, pulled a revolver and waved it in the victim’s direction. Then, in unincorporated Mundelein, in the 28700 block of North Route 83, Delorto was seen pulling up to a store. Delorto was located by Mundelein police, who had responded.
