Patora Fuyuhara and Eiji Usatsuka collaborated on a Japanese light novel series titled In Another World With My Smartphone (Isekai wa Sumtofon to Tomo ni). It began serialization online in 2013 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shsetsuka ni Nar until Hobby Japan purchased it for print publication as a light novel. It was acquired by Hobby Japan. Each novel in the series is being released in six weekly installments by J-Novel Club under a license granted in February 2017.
Kadokawa Shoten’s Comp Ace began serializing a manga adaptation by Soto in November 2016. Yen Press has licensed the comic in English. Production Reed produced an anime television series, which aired from July to September of 2017. In the second quarter of 2023, J.C.Staff will launch a second season.

Another World With My Smartphone Season 2 Storyline
A freak accident claims the life of fifteen-year-old Touya Mochizuki. Rather than punishing him by resurrecting him in his previous world as an act of penitence, God grants him the opportunity to be reincarnated in a fantasy realm along with any particular wishes. Touya requested that he be allowed to bring his smartphone into the new, God-modified reality. Because of this, Touya cannot use the phone to communicate with his former world, but it can be recharged via magic and still perform other functions, such as retrieving data from the old world and using GPS to locate destinations in his new world.
God also considerably enhances Touya’s physical, magical, and cognitive powers as an additional apology for the difficulty of dying him. Touya takes full advantage of his second chance at life by making friends with a wide variety of individuals, mostly ladies and those in positions of authority in the new world he has found himself in. He sets off on a journey across the world, resolving little conflicts, undertaking tiny quests, and merrily chatting with his newfound allies.
The creation of nine female humanoid robots by Professor Regina Babylon of Touya’s new world roughly 5,000 years ago is a key reveal in Season 1 of “In Another World With My Smartphone.” Regina saw that Touya would one day appear and have nine wives, so she split apart her own consciousness and broke Babylon into nine pieces, storing them in the robots for Touya to find in the future. To see if Touya is compatible with each of the robots, he must undergo a test to verify if he has full control over Babylon.
The finale of the season also suggests that a big adversary from the light novel series Fraze, a group that travels to Touya’s planet through a vulnerable and cracking inter-dimensional boundary, will be introduced. In order to protect Touya and the girls from the Fraze, Regina builds mecha weapons identical to those used by Touya. Season 2 of “In Another World with My Smartphone” has a lot of magic, conflicts, and epic experiences for Touya and the others.
