As Black Adam, Dwayne Johnson’s character enters the DC universe and receives his own superhero movie. Remarkably, it has taken Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson this long to acquire a superhero part, given that he is one of the most well-known performers in the world and has a penchant for action movies. Fans of The Rock, though, are eager to see how the actor will handle the superhero cliché now that it is here at last.
The actor will play a part that he is highly enthusiastic about and has been for a long time. In 2007, Johnson was asked to portray the part of Shazam, but he declined, saying that he would rather play the antihero, Black Adam. At the time, Johnson stated of the part, “He’s a character who I can’t wait to play.” After more than 15 years, it appears like the actor’s aspirations are finally being fulfilled.
Black Adam: What Will Be The Storyline?
Most plot information has been kept a secret, but a few have gotten out. In the DC comic books, Black Adam is presented as Shazam’s adversary and as a somewhat ominous and bloodthirsty antihero. Teth-Adam, sometimes known as Black Adam, was a Kahndaq slave. Initially known as Mighty Adam, Black Adam was endowed with the same divine abilities as Shazam.
He used his abilities to free the Kahndaq people, who he then went on to lead. However, the Gods imprisoned Mighty Adam, who later became Black Adam, because they disapproved of how he used his authority. The story of Black Adam will be followed in the Black Adam movie after he escapes from purgatory 5,000 years after imprisonment.
Black Adam is one of the most powerful figures in the DC Universe despite not being a well-known superhero. This may be the reason Warner Bros. issues a warning that the DC Universe’s power structure is about to alter. Johnson referred to the person as “He has no sense of constraint. That results in a potent combination that is explosive, scary, and ultimately endearing, at least to me.”
The plot’s contents have not been made public, although devoted comic book readers have believed that Black Adam may attempt to recreate his dominion while up against the Justice Society of America. Thus, the conflict between the two sides may be the main focus of the storyline. These are only crazy presumptions, and the movie’s story could go in a very different direction.

Black Adam Release Date
Black Adam was initially scheduled for a 2021 release, but Warner Bros. made that decision before realizing the COVID-19 pandemic would have a significant impact on the production of the movie.
The studio had to temporarily remove the blockbuster from their list of anticipated DC films when production was pushed back from fall 2020 to spring 2021 before scheduling it for a July 2022 release. Black Adam is now expected to premiere in theatres on October 21, 2022, thanks to a few-month delay by Warner Bros.

The Black Adam Cast Is Led by Dwayne Johnson
The main character will be the one mentioned in the title, just like in any other comic book-based solo movie, but he doesn’t spend the entire adventure alone. Dwayne Johnson is taking center stage in Black Adam, but the Justice Society, the first superhero group to appear on the big screen, will be his adversaries in the narrative.
A group of seasoned actors and budding stars who will undoubtedly benefit from being a part of one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year join Johnson on the cast of Black Adam. Atom Smasher, also known as Adam Rothstein, will be played by Noah Centineo, who rose to fame with To All the Boys I Loved Before. Carter Hall, better known as Hawkman, will be portrayed by Aldis Hodge, who provided the voice of John Stewart/Green Lantern in Green Lantern: Beware My Power.
In Black Adam, Quintessa Swindell, who previously starred in Voyagers and a 2019 episode of Euphoria, will play Maxine Hunkel, a.k.a. Cyclone. Pierce Brosnan, a former James Bond actor, will play Kent Nelson, Doctor Fate, a DC Comics character making his feature film debut. The cast of Black Adam also includes Uli Latukefu, who played Dwayne Johnson on the NBC comedy series Young Rock, Sarah Shahi (The Rookie), Marwan Kenzari (The Old Guard), James Cusati-Moyer (The Path), Bodhi Sabongui (The Main Event), Mo Amer (Ramy), and Uli Cusati-Moyer.
