After fleeing the scene of an accident with injuries early on Monday afternoon, a Lake County lady was detained by a Florida Highway Patrol trooper. At 10:55 a.m., the dispatcher received a call reporting that a woman had been hurt, and the warrior was sent to a home near Mount Dora. The soldier talked with a 48-year-old woman who described how she was hit by a car while sweeping leaves on Sullivan Ranch Boulevard in rural Lake County, west of Round Lake Road.
The old woman motorist, who had white hair, came to a stop. According to the arrest report, the woman said when the victim tried to speak to her, “She did not have time to sit there and wait for someone to turn up.” The victim obtained the Florida license plate number, which revealed that it was registered to Karin Elizabeth Sanfilippo, 70, of Mount Dora. The victim further informed the trooper that the impact on her body should have caused damage to the right side mirror.

The victim was sent to AdventHealth Waterman Hospital because she was in discomfort. The policeman encountered Sanfilippo’s husband at 21624 Belgian Court in Mount Dora, who informed him that his wife had been operating the vehicle. After inspecting the grey Toyota, the trooper discovered the right mirror was broken.

Karin Sanfilippo, the warrior spoke to, claimed to have been involved in the collision but had departed because she did not want to be late for a scheduled appointment. Sanfilippo was taken into custody for fleeing the scene of a crash while hurt. After being taken to the Lake County Jail, the New Yorker posted $5,000 in bond and was let out.
