Issaquah Car Accident: According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), one person was killed after two vehicles caught fire during a multi-car collision on Interstate 90 near Issaquah on Saturday evening. The collision involved multiple automobiles.
According to WSP, a car was heading westbound on Interstate 90 at a high rate of speed when it approached a vehicle that was traveling at a lesser speed and performed a lane change. Following passing the slower car, the report states that the vehicle made another lane change, after which it lost control and exited the roadway.

According to WSP’s findings, the vehicle collided with a concrete structure, causing it to ignite into flames. The slower vehicle that was passed on its way to the next destination hit some debris that was on fire and pulled over. According to WSP, the second vehicle was the one to catch fire from the debris.
WSP reported that there were only minor injuries sustained by the other individual involved in the collision. The westbound lanes of Interstate 90 were shut down for close to three hours while emergency workers worked at the scene of the collision.
