Here we are talking about Man Arrested After Los Alamos Shooting Near High School. After a gunshot near the high school, a male from Los Alamos is in police custody.
At a residence on 34th street, about a half-mile from Los Alamos High School, on Wednesday, according to police, 57-year-old David Dye fired rounds and made threats against himself. As a precaution, the school’s status was changed to “secure”.
Officers detained Dye before taking him to the hospital for a mental health assessment. Two counts of aggravated assault and one count of careless use of a deadly weapon were brought against Dye.
