The Walt Disney Studios, a part of The Walt Disney Business, is a subsidiary of Marvel Studios, LLC, an American film and television production company founded in 1993 and formerly known as Marvel Films until 1996. The Marvel Cinematic Universe films, based on Marvel Comics characters, are produced by Marvel Studios. Comic-Con is returning to San Diego in July, and it was confirmed by Marvel Studios CEO Kevin Feige during a press conference for Thor: Love and Thunder that Marvel Studios will be attending. Because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Marvel Studios has largely ignored Comic-Con in recent years. This year’s comeback is a significant deal. It’s not the first time Marvel has skipped a year, including in 2018, but Marvel returned in 2019.
Feige, has stated that the next major MCU storyline will be unveiled in the “coming months.” What better location to make the announcement than Hall H, the most famous exhibit hall at Comic-Con International? The last time Marvel was at Comic-Con in 2019, it released the majority of Phase 4, so a Phase 5 unveiling would make sense. As well to movies like Black Widow, Shang-Chi, and Eternals, the MCU TV shows like WandaVision and Loki were also revealed.

Captain Marvel, Ant-Man, and The Wasp are all scheduled for release in Phase 4, as are movies like the upcoming Black Panther; as well as television series like She-Hulk and Ironheart; as well as films like the upcoming Ant-Man and The Wasp; Guardians of the Galaxy; and the Fantastic Four. Phase 4’s primary storyline has yet to be disclosed, despite Feige’s claims that hints for the next storyline are already in place. When Marvel returns to Comic-Con, what do you hope it will reveal?
