This is your opportunity to win some money if you are confident singing karaoke in front of a crowd and are not shy about doing so.
The tournament will be known as “Chicago Sings Karaoke,” and it was announced by the city of Chicago. Amateur singers from all around the city will have the chance to compete in a citywide tournament to show off their karaoke abilities and be entered for a chance to win $5,000.
During the announcement that took place on Wednesday, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot ditched her business jacket in favour of a more attention-grabbing ensemble, giving the public a sneak peek of her karaoke abilities before the month-long competition gets underway on October 9.
The proprietor of Uproar Chicago in Old Town, Rick Douglas, is ecstatic about the fact that his establishment will be one of the 18 locations throughout the city hosting round one of the karaoke tournament.

According to what Douglas had to say, “one of our staff members is going to be doing the judging.” “I believe that the goal of the competition is to crown one winner at each location so that the remaining 18 finalists can compete in the next round.”
Amateur singers only are permitted to participate in the competition; professional vocalists are not permitted. Participants need to be at least 21 years old and live in the Chicago area to be eligible.
Douglas made the observation that “there is a lot of star potential in this city.” “A lot of talent and I like to sing myself, so maybe some of the Uproar crew will join the competition as well.” “A lot of talent, and I like to sing myself.”
On Sundays, locals have the opportunity to participate in the activity. The person who gives the best performance will be awarded $5,000 and the title of Chicago’s Karaoke Champion.
