Congo’s Caper, Pinball, and Rival Turf are among the three new classic games that have recently been added to Nintendo Switch Online. The NES is represented solely by Pinball. The SNES versions of the other two games are available. Pinball and Rival Turf are available in all territories, although Umihara Kawase is available in Japan instead of Congo’s Caper.
Nintendo has updated Nintendo Switch Online with a new trio of vintage SNES and NES games for users. Congo’s Caper, a 1993 Data East platformer, is the first in the new batch. You’ll explore different worlds such as Congo, a prehistoric half-man, half-monkey, and fight opponents such as T-Rexes, ninjas, pirates, and even devils. Just like you do. It does exactly what it says on the tin, but it also includes a Breakout-style game starring Mario and Pauline from the Donkey Kong era. Finally, Rival Turf! plays a lot like Streets of Rage on the SNES. You play as Jack Flak and police officer Oozie Nelson to save your sweetheart Heather from street thugs in this 1993 Jaleco game. According to Wikipedia, the game was the first of the Rushing Beat trilogy, while the remaining installments were released independently outside of Japan.
Your normal Nintendo Switch Online membership includes all three classic SNES and NES games. Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards was released last week on the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. Congo’s Caper, a Data East side-scroller, was released in the west on the SNES in 1993. Rival Turf! is the first game in Jaleco’s Rushing Beat trilogy, and it was released in 1992. Pinball, starring Mario, was a launch game for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) when it was released in 1985 in western regions.
