ESCALON, Calif- A Family Dollar employee in San Joaquin County was shot multiple times during an armed robbery at the shop on Monday evening and is now in serious condition, according to officials.
According to the Escalon police department, the shooting took place at the Family Dollar in the 2000 block of Jackson Avenue around 6:35 p.m. That employee received significant injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Police added that the shooter has not yet been apprehended. They are described as a male dressed in black pants, black shoes, and a grey hooded sweatshirt. He left in a tiny grey hatchback automobile from the early 2000s and is around 5 feet, 8 inches tall.
