Sara Marie Marshall’s Obituary
Sarah E. Marshall, age 83, of Mount Union, Ohio, passed away in the hands of her daughter Cindy Robinson on Monday, October 19, 2020. She was born on September 25, 1937, in McConnellstown to Jacob E. and Mary (Lamberson) Bigelow, both of whom have now passed away. Her husband, Richard K. Marshall, her sister, Jean M. Bigelow, her brother, Bob Bigelow, and her son-in-law, Terry Shope, all passed away before her.
Cindy Robinson and her husband William of Mount Union, Cathy Shope of Huntingdon, and Mary Ellen Reed and her husband Ted of McVeytown are her surviving daughters. We have three grandchildren: Olivia and her husband Tim Snyder of Mount Union, Jeremy and his wife Dana Snyder of Mount Union, and Jared and his wife Marianne Snyder of Dillsburg.
Sarah counted Colt, Riley, and Blake as her three fortunate great-grandchildren. After finishing high school at Captain Jack, she joined the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Mount Union. She has previous job experience with GC Murphey Company and US Sports. After she retired, she found great satisfaction in developing relationships with the young adults and youth in her church.
Sarah treated all of them like her own and was never without a hug for one of them. They used to have a lot of fun together when she was alive, going on trips, gardening, and going shopping with her sister. Sarah has requested that there be no funeral or viewing services held. Donations to the Huntingdon County Humane Society can be offered in lieu of flowers.
