The long-awaited release date for Scorn, a first-person survival horror game developed by the Serbian studio Ebb Software, has been set. What’s more, it’s getting a launch soon and will be available on Xbox Game Pass from the get-go.
This first-person “biopunk” survival horror game looks just as atmospheric, frightening, and violent as any game where you play as a skinless humanoid lost in a nightmare world should. It takes inspiration from the works of European visual painters HR Giger and Zdzislaw Beksiaski.

How is The Gameplay of Scorn?
In Scorn, you take on the role of a skinless humanoid born into a nightmare world filled with evil things trying to get you. The game is played from a first-person perspective. For sure, you wouldn’t want to spend your vacation in this ruined hellhole.
Scorn markets itself as a free-form horror adventure with numerous environments, each with its own unique themes, storylines, and riddles. There is no tutorial or guidance offered in this game. You’ll learn the narrative of Scorn as you play; this is an interactive, horror adventure where your choices will have real consequences.
Without conflict, what is the point of a game? After all, Scorn is a survival horror game, so you may expect to face a wide variety of hostile organisms and mechanical devices. Fortunately, you can find and equip a variety of weapons to fend off any threats you encounter; just remember your restricted loadout and the consequences of your choices.

Scorn Release Date
“Scorn” will be released on October 21 for Xbox Series X|S and PC, just in time for Halloween. The game is a console launch exclusive, so it will eventually arrive on PlayStation, however, it is unclear how long the exclusivity period will last. “Scorn” will also be available on Xbox Game Pass for console, PC, and cloud, so if you have Game Pass Ultimate, you can play it wherever you want.
“Scorn” will also be accessible on PC through Game Pass, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, giving PC fans a multitude of ways to be terrified by body horror and odd animals. While the game has been delayed several times, it appears that “Scorn” will finally be released on October 21. The development team indicated in an Xbox Wire article following the Xbox and Bethesda display that it had reached its final big milestone in December, thus the team is merely polishing the final product.
Will Scorn launch on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4?
Scorn is only available on the Xbox Series X/S. As was said above, the survival horror game will be on Game Pass from the start. Even if you don’t have an Xbox, you can still play Scorn on your PC through the Windows Store, GOG.com, Epic Games Store, or Steam.
No one will be able to play Scorn on PS4, PS5, or the Nintendo Switch.
Pricing and Availability for Pre-Orders of Scorn
Those interested may pre-order Scorn from the Xbox Store right now for $39.99. Game Pass subscribers, however, will be able to enjoy it at no additional cost whenever it becomes available.
Scorn is available for purchase on the PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.com. If you pre-order Scorn on Steam, you can save 10% on any edition. Both the Standard and Deluxe Editions are available for purchase, with the former costing $39.99 ($35.99 on Steam) and the latter $49.99 ($44.99 on Steam).
The Deluxe Edition features a digital artbook with 192 pages of terrifying artwork created by the Scorn team, as well as the official digital music of the game. There appears to be no plan to release a physical copy of the game.
