According to a spokeswoman for the Chesapeake Police Department, multiple persons were shot and murdered inside a Walmart in Chesapeake, Virginia, on Tuesday night. The store was located in Chesapeake.
Leo Kosinski, a spokesman for the Police Department, stated in a brief news conference that the gunman was discovered dead in the store on Tuesday night. The authorities did not disclose the shooter’s identity.

Mr Kosinski did not provide a definitive answer when asked how many persons had been shot to death, although he stated that he believed the number to be “less than 10.”
There had been at least one other incident of a mass shooting in the country in the preceding week. Throughout the weekend, there was a shooting at an LGBT club in Colorado Springs, Colorado, which resulted in the deaths of five individuals.
