Here we are talking about Sheriff Mark Lamb Accident. Following a collision last week that claimed the lives of Cooper Lamb, the son of Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb, and his 1-year-old granddaughter.
Gilbert police have identified the suspected DUI driver. Brian Torres, the driver, was detained at the site of the accident on Friday and was being investigated for DUI.
According to investigators, Cooper’s fiancee Caroline drove at approximately 3:45 p.m. between Cole Drive and Elliot Road, just west of Recker Road.
Torres hit her car as she attempted to make a left turn, according to the police. The 1-year-old baby girl and Cooper passed away at the site. Life-threatening wounds forced the hospital to admit Caroline.
Torres was unharmed in the collision. According to the investigators, a lab study of Torres’ BAC is still waiting. Charges will be sent to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office after publicizing the test results.
