Both Disturbia and Surf’s Up, in which LaBeouf starred, did well at the box office in 2007. The following year, he landed the role of Sam Witwicky in Michael Bay’s science fiction picture Transformers. One of 2007’s highest-grossing movies, Transformers, was a huge financial success. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009) and Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011), both starring LaBeouf, were also commercial triumphs. Cast as Henry “Mutt Williams” Jones III in 2008’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, he won critical acclaim for his performance.

Shia Labeouf Early Life

On June 11, 1986, in Los Angeles, California, Shia Saide LaBeouf entered the world. His mother, Shayna, was a former dancer who later became a painter and designer of fine jewelry. His father, Jeffrey, a Vietnam War soldier who has had a number of jobs, is a recluse. His parents’ backgrounds are quite different; his Jewish mother and French Cajun father.

As far as he is concerned, LaBeouf is Jewish. His given name, Czaja, comes from the Polish translation of the Hebrew name Yeshayahu (Isaiah), which means “God is salvation.” His middle name is his mother’s maiden name. According to LaBeouf, both of his parents were hippies.

LaBeouf suffered maltreatment at the hands of his father, a heroin addict. LaBeouf’s mother raised him in the Echo Park district of Los Angeles after his parents split up. Although he obtained most of his schooling from tutors on set, he formally attended Los Angeles’s 32nd Street Visual and Performing Arts Magnet and Alexander Hamilton High School.

At the age of 10, LaBeouf started doing stand-ups at local comedy clubs. Using the Yellow Pages, he located an agent and called them up while pretending to be his own manager. Instead of always wanting to be an actor, LaBeouf got his start in the business when his family fell on hard times financially. LaBeouf’s casting as Louis Stevens on “Even Stevens” on Disney Channel came soon after he signed with an agency.

Shia Labeouf Personal Life

During the filming of “Nymphomaniac” in 2012, LaBeouf met English actress Mia Goth. After some time, they started dating. It gave the impression that the pair had gotten married in Sin City by an Elvis impersonator. That was all a big farce. Next, he announced their wedding to Ellen. The divorce papers were submitted in the fall of 2018.

Shia became a prominent anti-Trump celebrity after Trump’s election. He put up a protest art installation against Trump, but it was repeatedly vandalized. Shia was arrested in Georgia in July 2017 for public intoxication. He was arrested and his hostile outburst while in jail was captured on tape.

In June of 2014, LaBeouf was arrested at New York City’s Studio 54 for disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing. The police report says he was “being disruptive, shouting, and being loud.” He was rude to the police and spit in their faces. After this episode, LaBeouf decided to seek help for his drinking in an outpatient setting.

On the night of July 8th, 2017, LaBeouf was arrested in the middle of the night for public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and obstruction in downtown Savannah, Georgia. Just a few short months later, he entered a no-contest plea on disorderly conduct charges. A $1,000 fine and a year of probation were imposed upon him. Additionally, he was mandated to get assistance for his rage and substance misuse.

Shia Labeouf’s Net Worth

To the tune of $25 million, Shia LaBeouf has established himself as an American actor, performance artist, and filmmaker. The part of Louis Stevens on the Disney show “Even Stevens” propelled him to fame as a child actor. As an adult, LaBeouf has become famous for his performance art and his role in the “Transformers” film series.

Shia Labeouf’s Career

There were 65 episodes of “Even Stevens” broadcast between 2000 and 2003. For his work on the show, he received a Daytime Emmy Award. LaBeouf, who was 21 years old at the time, began to gain attention for his acting appearances in major motion pictures in 2007. The film “Disturbia,” which he directed, was well-received by critics. “Transformers” is the film that propelled Shia LaBeouf to Hollywood’s A-List. In 2008, he also appeared in “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,” “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,” and both “Transformers” sequels.

Shia LaBeouf had an odd string of public appearances in February of 2014. A paper bag with the words “I am not famous anymore” written on it covered his face as he walked the red carpet once. No one could guess what he was thinking. Some assumed it was a part of an artistic performance. These events were, in fact, a performance artwork that LaBeouf co-created with British artist and novelist Luke Turner and Finnish artist Nastja Säde Rönkkö to reflect on the nature of fame and the risks it can entail.

Since then, LaBeouf, Rönkkö, and Turner have participated in a number of high-profile performance art pieces, including #IAMSORRY (2014), #ALLMYMOVIES (2015), #TOUCHMYSOUL (2015), #TAKEMEANYWHERE (2016), and HEWILLNOTDIVIDE.US (2017). In the 2017 Swedish film “Borg vs. McEnroe,” starring Shia LaBeouf, LaBeouf plays the legendary tennis player John McEnroe. Both “The Peanut Butter Falcon” and “Honey Boy,” a comedy-drama he wrote and starred in, premiered in 2019.

Shia received a salary of $750,000 for her work on the first “Transformers” film. His salary was increased to $5 million for the second tranche and $15 million for the third installment of his pay. When he decided not to star in the fourth installment, he passed up an additional $15 million in earnings. He reportedly asked for $18 million, but his request was turned down.
