Survivor Season 45 Release Date

CBS has announced that the new season will be broadcast in the fall of 2023. The premiere date will most likely be in the middle of September, as is customary for shows in their odd-numbered seasons. The network has announced that to fill its schedule during the ongoing writers’ strike, episodes of “Survivor” and “The Amazing Race” will air for 90 minutes on Wednesday nights this fall.

The 2023 autumn program for the network will feature these special longer episodes. Since the upcoming season of The Amazing Race has also decided to go to 90-minute episodes, this may be an attempt to lessen the impact of the WGA writer’s strike.

Survivor Season 45: The Cast, the Premiere, and the Setup

There has been no official word on when Survivor Season 45  will debut on CBS. The season finale will likely occur in the middle of December if recent seasons are any indication. For Season 45, it’s unclear if production will follow the standard 39-day timetable or stick to the 26-day pace of the “new era.”

Speculation that Season 44 competitor Bruce Perreault would return for Season 45 is one of the show’s most intriguing elements. During the first challenge of Season 44, Bruce tragically suffered a brain injury and had to be evacuated from the game.

However, Bruce was extended an open invitation to join a future season, as host and showrunner Jeff Probst announced on the On Fire With Jeff Probst podcast. It appears that the invitation is finally being accepted.

In an Inside Survivor article, Bruce’s presence in Season 45 was first reported by Martin Holmes, better known as “Redmond” in Survivor fan circles. According to Redmond, a trusted insider who has correctly leaked character and format information for nearly a decade, only Bruce will return from Season 44’s original cast of 18.

Redmond also confirmed that the new period format of three founding tribes would be implemented for the upcoming season. A list of speculated Survivor 45 cast members had been revealed by Inside Survivor, featuring people from all walks of life.

It is customary for the final episode of each season of “Survivor” to include a sneak peek at the upcoming season. However, the first video promo for “Survivor 45” was shown to viewers for the first time during the 44th finale/reunion on May 24.
