The competitors weren’t ready for the twist that took away their “ride-or-die,” nor were they prepared for the second twist that T.J. Lavin had planned. Spoilers for The Challenge Season 38 say that the second twist will happen in episode 15. Here are all the facts about both twists.
T.J. Lavin Added a Twist That Broke Up the “Ride or Dies” Teams
Early spoilers for The Challenge Season 38 said that this season would have more than one twist. The players thought they could play the game with their best friend, romantic partner, or family member, but T.J. Lavin messed up everyone’s plans. He told the competitors that they would split into two new teams and that each ride-or-die pair would go to the other team.
Faysal Shafaat and Moriah Jadea won the daily challenge, so they got to choose the new teams. Faysal picked Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio, Tori Deal, Nelson Thomas, Aneesa Ferreira, Kaycee Clark, Chauncey Palmer, and Olivia Kayser. Jordan Wiseley, Nany González, Devin Walker, Amber Borzotra, Horacio Gutierrez, Kenny Clark, and Nurys Mateo were the people Moriah chose. During the daily challenges, the teams went up against each other. The losing team would select two cast members to fight it out in the elimination.
But there was one catch to this twist. When someone was taken out of the game, they could still return if their original “ride-or-die” player was still there. If both ride-or-die players were taken out, the team lost.

In the New Twist, the 3 Teams With 1 Eliminated Member Compete
Even though T.J. Lavin split up the “ride or die” players in the middle of the season, he couldn’t keep the original teammates from playing together again. Spoilers for The Challenge Season 38 said the teams would get back together after several eliminations. In episode 14, Lavin said that the twist was about to end.
In episode 14, the members of the ride-or-die group who had survived the twist got back together. Faysal Shafaat, Aneesa Ferreira, and Kaycee Clark were left without their teammates. Lavin said that one of those three teams would have to do a “redemption challenge” to get back into the game. The show then brought Moriah Jadea, Jordan Wiseley, and Kenny Clark to compete with their partners in the redemption round.
In episode 14, Moriah and Faysal beat Jordan, Aneesa, Kenny, and Kaycee in the first challenge. In episode 15, Jordan and Aneesa compete against Kenny and Kaycee to see who will be sent home.

The Challenge Season 38 Spoilers: Which Team Survives the Twist and Makes It to the Finale?
Spoilers for Season 38 of The Challenge posted on Reddit say that Jordan Wiseley and Aneesa Ferreira beat Kaycee and Kenny Clark and sent them home.
Is this the final twist of the season? Some rumors say that the ending will have a twist that fans have already seen before. Because of the twist, each contestant might add up his or her score at the end. In the ride-or-die teams, the person with the highest score decides whether they get all the money or shares it with their partner.
