According to the press release, a 2017 Hyundai Veloster was approaching West 4th Street while traveling west along County Road 42. The motorcycle rider allegedly did not “keep the lane” and part-way entered the westbound lane, directly into the path of the approaching Hyundai.
After the motorbike struck the Hyundai, the Hyundai ran off the road to the right and collided with a few trees, according to the troopers. The Hyundai driver, a 23-year-old Paisley male, was evacuated to the hospital with significant but stable injuries, according to troopers, while the biker passed away at the site.
Following the collision, County Road 42 had a roadblock in place for both lanes that has already been removed, according to FHP.
