When is Kate Moss testifying? In Johnny Depp’s sensational defamation trial against Amber Heard, The Post exclusively reported Monday that model Kate Moss is likely to testify this week.
According to reliable sources, the 48-year-old British fashion icon will appear in court in Fairfax, Virginia, via video link on Wednesday.
Fist-pumping was heard in the courtroom when Heard, 36, brought up Moss during her evidence a few weeks ago.

When Heard mentioned Moss in the testimony at the time, legal experts said it would allow her ex-team husband to refute the idea that they had shoved the supermodel down a flight of stairs in the 1990s.
Putting up Kate Moss was “one error that [Heard] made,” said California entertainment lawyer Mitra Ahouraian, “because it potentially opened the door to [Depp’s team] bringing [Moss] on as an impeachment witness.”
“Amber mentioned an ex of Johnny’s that clearly she believed was not supportive of him, which couldn’t be further from the truth,” a source close to Depp told The Post at the time.
On Monday, reports said that lawyers for the star of “Pirates of the Caribbean” will call Moss a witness. No immediate response from the supermodel’s representatives.
According to insiders, Moss was in a relationship with Depp from 1994 to 1997 and has always been supportive of him.
Recalling a March 2015 altercation in which she punched Depp because she feared he might throw her sister Whitney down the stairs, Heard brought up Moss on May 5.
Ben Chew, a lawyer for Johnny Depp, turned and fist-pumped as the “Aquaman” actress stated she “instantly” thought of “Kate Moss and the stairs.
Because the purported staircase encounter was unrelated to a specific allegation in the Virginia case, Moss was not anticipated to testify. However, analysts say that Heard’s reference of the model prepared the way for Depp’s legal team to summon her to testify.
During her three-year romance with Depp, Kate Moss has revealed almost nothing about the actor’s connection with Amber Heard or Depp.
In a 2012 interview with Vanity Fair, she said, “There’s nobody that’s really really been able to take care of me.” For a while, at least.

“I took his word for it. He’d tell me what to do if I asked him. This is what I’ve been missing since I left. I’d completely lost sight of anyone I could rely on.”
At the time, Moss’ acquaintances said that Johnny Depp had taught her how to keep her privacy as her reputation grew.
According to Vanity Fair, the two first met when Moss was just 20 and Depp was just 31.
The model once claimed, “I knew from the first time we spoke that we were going to be together.”
After a confrontation at New York City’s Mark Hotel in September 1994, Depp was arrested and charged with domestic violence. A criminal mischief prosecution against Johnny Depp was later dropped, but the actor was ordered by a judge to pay more than $2,000 in damages to the hotel and avoid trouble for six months.
“I think Johnny certainly has a temper,” said filmmaker and artist John Waters after the fight. In the grand scheme of things, this is a non-event. “It’s possible that the room service was shoddy.”
They “can’t keep their hands, lips, mouths, legs off of one another,” a friend of Depp’s told People Magazine in 1994.
Moss described the breakup as a “horror” in an interview with Vanity Fair.
For years and years, I wept. She cried, saying, “Oh, the tears!”
On the third to last day of the six-week trial, which is scheduled to end on Friday, she will testify. Depp might need to call on Moss to be a key character witness.
Ex-wife Heard is being sued for $50 million by Depp, 58, in response to an op-ed she wrote for the Washington Post calling herself a “public figure symbolizing domestic abuse.” His career was ruined, and he lost millions of dollars in revenue because of her essay, which didn’t mention him by name.
Claiming he defamed her when he and his lawyers told the press in 2020 that she had made up her abuse claims, Heard countersued Depp for $100 million.
Heard claimed Depp once shoved Moss down a flight of stairs when she was married to him in the UK in 2020.

“”I remember the information I had heard [that] he pushed a past girlfriend — I believe it was Kate Moss — down the stairs,” Heard said before a British court of the same argument that involved her sister. At the time, I had only heard it from two sources, and it was still fresh in my mind.
After a newspaper article called him a “wife-beater,” Depp took legal action against The Sun. After the UK High Court found in favor of Heard’s claims of abuse, he lost the lawsuit.
