THURSTON COUNTY, Wash. – On Wednesday morning, deputies found the body of a 30-year-old male who had died after crossing the centerline of Yelm Hwy SE.
The collision took place just before 7 o’clock in the morning on Johnson Road Southeast.
On Yelm Hwy SE, the 30-year-old man was reportedly travelling westbound when he collided head-on with another vehicle, as stated by the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.

A guy in his forties and his child, who was only eight months old, were both transferred to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.
TCSO Deputies are on scene of a fatality vehicle accident on Yelm Hwy at Johnson Rd SE. Yelm Hwy will be closed between Johnson Rd SE and Meridian Rd SE for several hours as TCSO Deputies investigate the collision. Please use alternate routes.

In order for deputies to conduct their investigation, the route between Johnson Road Southeast and Meridian Road Southeast had to be closed for many hours.
Before 12:30 p.m., the route was opened to traffic again.
