In episode 10, we witness that Team V changes its strategy in reaction to Team Z’s awakening when faced with the possibility of losing after winning all previous matches. After finding soccer to be dull, Nagi scores the opening goal for Team V from an absurdly tight angle.

In response, Chigiri makes a long pass to himself with the help of Isagi, who then attempts to score by blocking Nagi from getting to the ball. Kuon recalls that despite his dominant nature alienating him from his buddies, he once had a passion for soccer.

Gagamu grabs the rebound and attempts a shot, but Mikage blocks it. Kunigami then scores off the rebound to tie the game at 4-4. Nagi breaks away for an easy goal in stoppage time, and Kuon tackles him, earning him a red card.

Recap of Blue Lock Episode 10

Team Z members recovered their energy after waking up and scored the third goal. Currently, the score is 3-3, which seemed unthinkable when the game began. Team V is under a lot of pressure to show they are the greatest because they have dominated every other team they have played thus far.

Team Z is so intent on winning that they miss a crucial development. As he sees them give it their all, it also roused Nagi. Until then, he had barely loved anything, but now he wants the game to be won. After team Z scored their third goal a short while later, Nagi scored an incredible goal to put team V in the lead.

Raichi exhorts Team Z members to keep attacking until victory is achieved. There aren’t many seconds left to play, so his arguments make a lot of sense. Kuon recalled playing football in school and giving it his all, even though it seemed like other players didn’t give a damn.

He worked hard to get chosen, and Blue Lock ultimately chose him for the next round. Team V exerts maximum pressure on team Z members by scoring the fourth goal to even the score. The official score is now 4-4, and both teams are motivated to win after a couple of Z’s fourth goal.

There isn’t much time left in the game, so both teams know that whoever scores the next goal will probably also win. Since Kuon previously scored three goals during the first selection and did not commit a foul, just like Kunigami, who also has three goals, he will advance to the next round even though his entire team will be eliminated if team Z loses.

Despite this, Isagi is aware that he must cut the ball before Nagi arrives, so he prepares to fight Nagi to make room for his teammates. Everything goes according to plan and Nagi promptly takes the ball from Isagi and runs toward the goalpost.

Nagi appears destined to score at this crucial moment, but Kuon pounces on him. Despite getting sent off for a direct body tackle, Kuon understands it was his only chance. Because of this, team Z still has a chance, even if just three minutes are left.

After seeing his teammates valiantly take on and surprise the tournament’s best team, Kuon seems to have a deep desire to help the team succeed. As the episode closes, Isagi has the ball after Team V’s free kick fails to result in a goal despite their best efforts. With only a few minutes left, it would be interesting to witness how he finally leads his squad across the finish line.

What Happened Before on Blue Lock?

Kuon couldn’t believe it when Team Z scored three goals against Team V using just 10 men. Having gained confidence, Team Z then aimed to achieve their fourth goal. On the other hand, Rio is afraid of Team Z’s awakening and cannot devise a successful plan. At this point, Nagi truly enjoys the game and scores his first goal, bringing the score to 4-3.

The realization that they have awoken a monster terrifies Isagi. Raichi says that Team Z should continue concentrating on their assaults rather than strengthening their defense. Nagi anticipates Chigiri’s move and reaches for the ball as he takes it and attempts to pass it on the open side using his customary method.

Isagi, though, continues to misread Nagi and steals the ball from him before passing it once more to Chigiri. The ball he shoots strikes the poll. Gagamaru is in the right place, but Rio this time stops the goal. The last goal is scored by Kunigami, tying the game at 4-4. Isagi is aware of his ability to predict the future in his line of work.

A brief flashback of Kuon’s life follows, showing how he always aspired to be a great football player but that none of his teammates took the sport seriously. He decides to walk alone on the path after receiving the invitation to enrol in Blue Lock at that point.

When Kuon abandons his desire to remain on top and clutches Nagi, Zantetsu passes the ball to Nagi, who is poised to score the team’s fifth goal. Team V is awarded a free kick after Kuon is given a red card. Team Z successfully defends all of Team V’s attempts to score a goal. Isagi receives possession of the ball with three minutes remaining in the episode.
