Here we are talking about Car Accident Flagler County. This morning, a woman was murdered when she slammed into a semi-truck with her car in the northbound lanes of I-95, just south of Matanzas Woods Parkway. The victim’s head was severed.
The Volvo semi-driver truck was unharmed. The Florida Highway Patrol is looking into the collision. Traffic on I-95 south of Palm Coast Parkway is backed up due to the closure of the northbound lanes of the roadway between Palm Coast Parkway and Matanzas Woods Parkway.
Just after 8:30 this morning, the sedan rear-ended the semi in the center lane in broad daylight and clear skies. When a witness observed the collision take place, they quickly alerted the authorities.

The authorities have not yet given the cause of the crash. However, a witness to the collision provided the following information in a remark on FlaglerLive‘s Facebook page: Traffic was already moving slowly due to an earlier collision.
Hence, they blocked off the far left lane to allow for a merging. To give additional warning, the cones and the merging sign should have been placed further back on 95.
Fire vehicles and police were still at the scene of the first accident, and the previous tractor-trailer was still inside the guardrail. Traffic had halted soon before the incident, according to the witness, which suggests that the semi was preparing to stop.
The witness stated, “With debris flying everywhere and cars shrieking, it was like seeing a scene from a movie in my rearview mirror.” “Prayers are sent out to everybody who suffered in that, and I’m really sad for the folks involved.”
Within minutes, a trooper from the Florida Highway Patrol and members of the Palm Coast Fire Department, Flagler County Fire Rescue, and the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene.
Authorities momentarily stood by an emergency helicopter, but the person was pronounced dead at the site. There don’t seem to have been any additional casualties.
The accident resulted in the third traffic death in Flagler and the 28th overall this year, 11 more than the previous year. The number of fatalities on Flagler roadways this year ranks fourth out of 22 years. Authorities anticipated that I-95 would be closed for several hours.
